Abstract

188,956. Higgins, G. Nov. 19, 1921. Dampers.-A damper for the side or centre flues of open fireplaces is arranged so that its operation will not cause scot &c. to fall on the hobs. The. damper C slides horizontally towards and from the vertical centre line of the grate in a frame B, and is operated by a link D and a lever E pivoted to a lug G at the back of the face-plate H. The damper is specially adapted for use in conjunction with the apparatus described in Specification 174,301. Specifications, 23009/01, 2939/13, and 162,536 are also referred to.
