Abstract

187,437. Molby, W. D. Oct. 3, 1921. Apparatus for giving general exercises to the body.-In physical culture apparatus of the type having spaced-apart supports and independent head and foot engaging members connected to the supports, the connections consist of swivel joints. The supports consist of pairs of spring bows 15<a>, 16<a> connected by detachable members 15, 16 and are provided at each end with a hook 20 to which the head and feet members are connected by swivels. The head member comprises a yoke 21 provided with a head frame 23 of fabric, the outer ends of the yoke forming handles 24; a chin strap 25 holds the head in the frame, 23. The feet are held in stocks 32 mounted on a cross bar 36 connected centrally to the hook 20 by an adjustable chain. A body support may be provided and comprises a hammock 39 secured to the arms 24 and a cross bar 46.
