Abstract

184,380. Firkins, A. R. Aug. 18, 1921. Rollers, land; implements with adjustable tool frames; travelling gear ; lifting-devices, power.-A land roller 5 on an axle 6 in a frame 7 carrying a draw-bar 21 has combined therewith a set of scuffle, cultivator, or harrow tines 11 which are carried on an auxiliary frame 10 within the draw-bar frame 7 and pivoted thereto by bolts passing through brackets 9 on the one and lugs 8 on the other. A series of holes for the bolts is arranged in the brackets 9 for adjustment purposes and the height of the rear end of the auxiliary frame may be varied by adjusting brackets 18 on which the frame 10 bears. The auxiliary frame is raised and lowered by operating a cam-shaped wheel 12 as described in Specification 182,291. The draw-bar 21 is pivoted on a bracket 19 extending from the main frame and may be angularly adjusted along a sector 20. In a modification the auxiliary frame is pivotally connected at four points to the draw-bar frame by cranked members which all rotate as the frame is raised or lowered.
