Abstract

184,331. Ballard, F. A. June 24,1921. Lateral-splash guards. -A side-splash preventer for road vehicles comprises a framework 4 passing entirely round the road wheel and carrying a rubber or like flexible flap 3, which also passes entirely round the wheel. The guard is mounted on a fitting 1 pivoted on the front axle 2, or, in the case of a rear wheel, connected to a sleeve encircling the rear axle. A U-shaped member 6 supports the outside of the frame 4, whilst members 7 support the inside of the frame.
