Abstract

178,706. Gardner, T. April 9, 1921. Ventilators. - An air inlet or outlet ventilator for double-walled structures of the type comprising rectangular end portions B, C, connected by an inclined tubular member A, has a lateral opening A' in the member A for ventilating the space between the walls, preferably formed by striking up a portion A<2>, which then forms a baffle directed towards that end of the ventilator through which air enters. The dimensions of the ends B, C or those of an ordinary brick and the length and inclination of the part A are preferably such that the vertical distance between the ends is one or more courses of brickwork. The ends may be externally flanged to carry grids, and then the device also serves as a wall-tie.
