Abstract
176,699. Ringland, J., and Vance, W. R. April 18, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Protectors, securing.-In means for securing detachable rubber heels, of the kind comprising inter-engaging plates, the plate 1, which is secured to the boot heel by springs 3, is provided with rearwardly converging slots 2. The plate 4, to which the detachable heel is secured by tangs 10, has projecting parts 5 corresponding to the slots 2, the parts 5 being cut out of the plate 4 and bent over, as shown in Fig. 3, to form channels which engage with the edges 6, 7 of the slot 2. The plates are secured in their r interlocked position by a bolt or screw which is passed through holes 9 provided in projections 8 formed on the plates.
