Abstract

171,644. Neil, H. S. Feb. 10, 1921. Gas stoves; radiants.-A portable heater or radiator adapted to be heated by a gas or oil flame, comprises an outer hollow body e supported by the burner &c., and an inner tubular body k depending from its upper edge and containing a loose hollow plug member l. These parts are made of silica or other refractory material. A base ring c may be interposed between the member e and the burner and a metal ring g between the members k and e. The plug l has openings n to facilitate the passage of the gases and a grid top m to support a kettle &c. In a modification, Fig. 3, the base ring and the member e are integral, the member k has an integral flange in substitution of the ring g, and the plug member-takes the form shown.
