168,313. Scheib, G., Koch, M., and GĀ³ntherberg, H. Aug. 27, 1920, [Convention date]. Fluid-actuated valves.--A valve device for maintaining a constant difference of pressure between two conduits comprises a spring- loaded tubular piston valve adapted to discharge fluid from the conduit in which the pressure is above normal into the other conduit. The piston valve 11 has ports 15, 16, 17 and is provided with balance pistons 12, 13 of the same or different diameters adapted to work in liners 20, 21, and is loaded by springs 29, 30 arranged between the ends of the casing and abutments 27, 28 adjustably mounted on spindles 22, 23 secured to the balance pistons. Normally, fluid entering at 2 and :3 passes around the valve member to outlets 4, 5, but in the event of the balance being disturbed fluid is bye-passed through ports 16 and 15 or 17 to restore the balance. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a modification in which the movement of the spindles 22, 23 may be used to control the pumps feeding the conduits. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
