Abstract

Hoods.-Hoods for side-cars are supported on a main hoop 14, Fig. 1, hinged at 13 at the forward end of a U-shaped hollow space 2 extending around the back of the seat and adapted to receive the hood when folded. Padded arm rests 5, Fig. 3, turn about hinges 6 to cover the side channels, and a hinged cover 11 closes the rear channel. The arm rests may be retained in the closed position by spring clips or locks. A small hinged panel 15 closes the extreme forward ends of -the side channels when the hood is folded. Sliding clips 16 on the main hoop 14 carry hinged loops 17, 18, 19, a stop 20 retaining the hood in the open position, while a stop 21 serves as an abutment for the clip in the closed position. The wind-screen 23, mounted on a hinged cover 24, supports the hoop 18 in clips 26.
