Abstract
In order to exclude the hazard of forming leaks after each new fitting of the filter plates and each reassembly and - even in the case of suspensions having highly erosive particles, to improve operational safety, the filtrate-discharging vertical hollow shaft (4, 6) is designed in at least two parts. The upper shaft part (4) is the carrier of the filter plates (3), whereas the lower shaft part (6) is sealed by a dynamic sealing package (8) from the housing (1) and the slurry chamber (12) and is mounted outside the latter. The torque connection between the two shaft parts (4, 6) is of a push-in type, and the connection has at least one seal (14, 15) between slurry chamber (12) and clear chamber. When one of the two shaft parts (4 or 6) is removed, the other respective shaft part (6 or 4) remains centred in the apparatus, as a result of which reassembly is foolproof. <IMAGE>
