Abstract
153,978. Cruddas, G. R. W., and Gregory, T. Aug. 22, 1919. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Locking while standing.-The change-speed lever is locked by means of a pair of arms 8 mounted on a shaft 4 within a casing 1 riveted to the frame. The arms 8 are held normally in a vertical position by a spring on the shaft 4, being held in the locking position shown by a spring lock in an extension of the casing. A plate 17 is provided for operating the arms by the foot. The arms may also engage the brake lever.
