Abstract

1537569 Pipe couplings PHETCO (England) Ltd 24 Nov 1977 [25 Nov 1976] 49312/76 Heading F2G A connector between a soil pipe 14 and a drain pipe 15 comprises a body 10 having an inlet part 13 with inwardly directed fins 18 and a soft rubber ring 20 to seal with the inserted pipe 14, and an outlet part 16 to fit around the pipe 15, an inwardly projecting rib 17 within the body 10 abutting the ends of the pipes 14, 15, and a neoprene sealing ring 11 being enclosed between the part 16 and the pipe 15 with a screwthreaded ring 12 secured on to the exterior of the part 16, a conical surface 24 on the ring 12 engaging a similarly shaped end portion 23 of the part 16 to tighten the ring 11 against the pipe 15.
