Abstract

151,487. Hall, W. A. S., and Keesler, M. W. Oct. 14, 1919. Ladders.-A collapsible step ladder particularly for use over a window sill is formed of two main uprights 1, to which are pivoted a series of parts of horizontal rods 3 of different lengths, the outer ends of which are supported by vertical rods 7 pivoted to them. The horizontal rods carry the treads, one of which 16 acts as a stop for the elongated position of the steps by resting against the uprights. Securing-rods 31 and a top tread are pivoted to the top ends of the main uprights to project at the rear thereof. The feet of the main uprights are splayed so that the device may be secured to the floor.
