Abstract

1506681 Fluid-pressure actuated switches SOC ANON DBA 9 Jan 1976 [7 Feb 1975] 0871/76 Heading H1N A fluid-pressure responsive switch comprises a tappet 28 movable in response to the fluid pressure, a first contact set 34, 36 comprising a movable contact in the form of a lever 36 pivoted at one end, and a second quick-acting bi-stable contact set 50, 52, the tappet acting on lever 36 between its ends and the lever being operatively connected to the second contact set at its free end, whereby the movement transmitted to the second contact set is greater than the movement of the tappets. Movement of lever 36 is transmitted to the second contact set via a member 44, movement of members 28, 36 and 44 being opposed by springs 32, 40 and 46, spring 46 being adjustable by a screw 48. The second contact set opens at a pressure above that at which the first set opens and closes at an intermediate pressure.
