Abstract

1486264 Warp knitting KANEGAFUCHI KAGAKUKOGYO KK 23 Sept 1974 [21 Sept 1973] 41295/74 Headings D1C and D1K In warp knitting a pile fabric, pile yarn guides 3 are operated to loop pile yarns round hooks 11 carried on endless conveyor chains 10 which after each knitting cycle move on to bring the next hook into position for pile formation and to move the loops on to be cut by a cutter carried on the conveyor mounting. The cutter may be a slide cutter 17 or a rotary disc cutter (17') Fig. 11 not shown. The distance between the cutters and the needles is adjustable. A jacquered type patterning unit may be provided for controlling the formation of the pile.
