Abstract

1481440 Typewriters SCM CORP 9 Oct 1974 [10 Oct 1973] 43785/74 Heading B6F A detachable type head for attachment to a type lever 14 comprises a locking lever 102 having a cam surface 74, 76, 78 whereby the end 18 of the type lever can be pressed against a surface 40 of the type head. The type head is U-shaped to receive the end 18 of the type lever. The locking lever may be formed with a latching surface 104 for engagement with a complementary recess in the type head. The cam surface may comprise a locking portion 74, an intermediate portion 76 whereby extra force is applied to the type lever, and a release surface 78. A projection 48 and complementary notch 22 may be provided on the type bead and type lever.
