Abstract

147,356. Martin, C., and Lloyd, Ltd., E. July 30, 1919. Drawings to Specification. Rotary strainers.-The perforations in the straining-plates of a rotary strainer for paper and like pulp are circular instead of being elongated. The strainer is formed as a cylinder of perforated sheet metal, strengthened by longitudinal bars and circumferential hoops and running on hollow trunnions. The liquid passes in through the lower half of the strainer and the separated solids are washed away from the upper half.
