Abstract

1470956 Reciprocating pumps J HARBIDGE 4 July 1974 [5 April 1973] 16409/73 Heading F1A A fluid-pressure transformer, e.g. a hydraulicallyactuated pump, comprises one or more linked pairs of motor and pumping pistons 3, 13 working in respective cylinders 2, 12, fluid-flow to and from the motor cylinders being controlled by a rotary valve 60, and flow to and from the pump cylinders being controlled by check valves 85, 86. The valve drive shaft 200 may be driven by a hydraulic motor connected to the same supply as motor cylinders 2.
