Abstract

1463466 Direction-indicator flashers SWFSPEZIALFABRIK FUR AUTOZUBEHOER GUSTAV RAU GmbH 17 Feb 1975 [25 May 1974] 6572/75 Heading G4Q [Also in Division H3] Relates to a flasher circuit comprising a relaxation oscillator T1/S, s with its frequency controlled by the capacitor C and a switching stage T2 for direction-indicator lights connected through the direction-indicator switch to terminal 49a. According to the invention stage T2 is controlled by the drop across resistor R3 and a voltage derived from a voltage divider containing a negative temperature coefficient reresistor, e.g. diode D2. The flasher thereby operates reliably over a large range of temperature and voltage. If a flasher lamp fails the switching frequency is increased since the drop across resistor R3 is no longer sufficient to block stage T2 during pulsing.
