Abstract

146,046. Glover, A. W., and Glover & Co., G. Dec. 22, 1919. Associated counters, trip-and-total and like.- Means is provided on the dial of a gas-meter for indicating continuously the thermal units supplied, and for adjusting the indications to correspond with different qualities of gas supplied. A pointer F, geared to the usual train to give one revolution for 100,000 cubic feet supplied is fitted to indicate on a scale H surrounding the dial. The scale H is graduated so that a complete turn shows the value of British Thermal units per cubic foot. When the calorific value of the gas supplied is changed a new scale H on varnished paper or the like is pasted on the bezel outside, with the zero point at the then position of the pointer.
