Abstract

1459923 Multi-furrow plough RANSOMES SIMS & JEFFERIES Ltd 10 Jan 1975 [9 Jan 1974] 01028/74 Heading A1B The spacing of plough bodies (not shown) transversely of the direction of travel of a multi-furrow plough may be varied while maintaining the plough bodies parallel to each other, by mounting the plough support arms 10 on a head assembly 1 and brackets 4 and pivotally connecting the brackets 4 at 20, 21 to parallel beams 2, 3 which are pivoted at 20, 21 to the head assembly 1, a turnbuckle 5 (or hydraulic ram) effecting the variation in spacing, and clamp bolts 22 co-operating with arcuate slots 23 to clamp the beam 2. The pivots 20 are also in the form of clamp bolts, and the pivots 21 in the form of pins. The head assembly 1 and the brackets 4 comprise vertically-spaced pairs of plates 6, 7 and 14, 15.
