Abstract

1459061 An electric cable reeling device A SCHMIDT & CO 22 Jan 1975 [25 Jan 1974] 2721/75 Heading B8M A reeling device for electric cables 6 comprises a rotatable drum 5 upon which the cables 6 are wound and which includes a wall 7, a mounting assemblage including a fixable disc-shaped support member 1 and a stationary shaft 2 which carries a rotatable hub 3 for rotatably mounting the drum 5, the wall 7 being provided with electrically insulated metal rings 8 which are in electrical contact via electric metal balls 10 with electrically insulated metal rings 11 provided on the member 1, electric leads 9 connecting the rings 8 to inner ends of coils 6 and electric leads 12 being connected to rings 11, and a compression spring 13 one end of which bears against a flange 4 of the hub 3 upon which the drum 5 is slidably mounted and the other against an annular extension 14 of the drum 5 to maintain electrical contact between the rings 8, balls 10 and rings 11. The extension 14 is slidable on the hub 3.
