Abstract
1453192 Conveying cigarettes MOLINS Ltd 26 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 21747/76 Divided out of 1453191 Heading B8A In a cigarette conveyer system, cigarettes are absorbed into or discharged from a storage device via a vertical reversible conveyer to compensate for different speeds of operation of cigarette makers and cigarette packers. In Fig. 3 cigarettes are moved up or down reversible conveyer 40A as required, by parallel bands 44, 46, driven by pulleys 48, 50, 52, 54, the bands having projections as claimed in Specification 1,453,191, movement being dependent on actuation of sensors 40, 66. The cigarettes are fed to the junction at which conveyer 40A operates by a horizontal conveyer band from cigarette making machines and a further horizontal conveyer band conveys cigarettes from the junction to cigarette packing machines.
