Abstract
1537144 Cigarette production plant G D SpA 15 Jan 1976 [29 Jan 1975] 01638/76 Heading A2C A cigarette production plant comprises cigarette manufacturing machines C, Cl from which cigarettes are fed to a packeting machine I by means of respective conveyers t, r, r' and t 1 , r 1 , r 1 ' which feed the cigarettes into a grouping hopper T of the machine I. Also associated with each packeting machine C, Cl is a respective compensating store device M, M1 and if, for example, machine C stops operating cigarettes are fed from the store device M to the conveyers t, r, r' to maintain the cigarette supply to the machine I (Fig. 2, not shown), while if both machines C, Cl stop operating (Fig. 3, not shown) cigarettes are fed to the machine I from both the store devices M, M1, and if the machine I stops operating while both the manufacturing machines C, C1 are operating (Fig. 4, not shown) a photocell device F associated with the hopper T detects an excess level of cigarettes in hopper T and operates control means to cause the flow of cigarettes along conveyer sections r, r" and r 1 , r 1 " to the respective store devices M, M1.
