1452166 Cylinder head gaskets ENGINEERING COMPONENTS Ltd 26 March 1975 [5 April 1974] 15320/74 Heading F2B A cylinder head gasket has a sheet metal body 8, 9, in which spirally-wound gaskets 12 are retained in alignment with the cylinder bore (2) and cooling water bores (3) of e.g. a diesel engine cylinder. Compression stops 5 may either be formed by bending back tabs of the metal sheets 8 and 9 or by attaching U-shaped metal clips to them. The sheets 8 and 9 may be welded, bonded or rivetted together.
