Abstract
1450128 Two-part couplings INTERNATIONAL COMPUTERS Ltd 16 Aug 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 40143/73 Heading H2E A contact comprises a first limb 5 intended for connection with an aperture of a printed circuit board, a second limb 2 intended for connection to a wire and a third limb 3 locating resilient means for locking a contact pin to the contact. The three limbs comprise a single stamping with the limb 3 having a cross piece 7 and cutaway region 8; a coil spring 10 is retained on the limb 3 by the cross piece 7. In Fig. 3 (not shown) there is a row of the contacts mounted in an insulating moulded block (17) with wires (16) wrapped around the limbs 2 and contact pins (11) of an integrated circuit mated between the cut-away regions 8 and springs 10 on respective limbs 3; limbs 5 are secured by soldering, deformation or bonding to apertures (14) of a circuit board (13).
