Abstract
1439022 Fluid elements SKEGA AB 8 June 1973 [12 June 1972] 34474/75 Divided out of 1439021 Heading G4P In a flow control device comprising a rigid inlet conduit and outlet conduits 4, 5, deformable diaphragm means 8<SP>1</SP> are provided adjacent the downstream end of the inlet conduit, so that when fluid pressure is communicated to chamber 7 or 7<SP>1</SP> the associated diaphragm means 8<SP>1</SP> assumes a convex form as shown, whereby the controlled stream moves due to the Coanda effect to the outlet conduit adjacent the convex diaphragm means. A shoulder may be provided at the downstream end of the inlet conduit to enhance the Coanda effect. The device may comprise rubber or another resilient or flexible material.
