Abstract

1322001 Respiratory apparatus AGA AB 23 July 1970 [9 Sept 1969] 35708/70 Heading AST A device for removing excess gas from a respiratory apparatus consists of a duct 1 connectible into a pipeline, a chamber 3' having an outlet 3 connectible to a source of low pressure, a valve 6 which allows gas at excess pressure to flow from the pipeline into chamber 3' and a valve 4 which admits atmospheric gas when the pressure in chamber 3' falls below a preset level. An elastic reservoir 5 can be provided. In another form, Fig. 2 (not shown), valve 6 is replaced by a diaphragm (13) acting against a valve seat (15).
