The claims are directed to a digital fluid flow control system in which digital valves control flow between upstream and downstream manifolds, and in which means is provided for rendering the pressure in the upstream manifold insensitive to pressure variations in the downstream manifold by ensuring that flow through the open valves is at sonic velocity.
