Abstract

1438070 Vehicle wheel trims GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 2 May 1974 [29 May 1973] 19364/74 Heading B7C [Also in Division B5] A vehicle wheel trim 16 attached to a wheel 15 by bolts 17 extends radially outwardly of the wheel rim. The trim 16 is made of elastomeric material, polyvinyl chloride resin, ABS resin or polyurethane. The material has a Shore A hardness of less than 100, preferably 40-90. The Specification also discloses methods of making wheel trims of foamed polyurethane and an ABS resin (see Divisions B4-B5). The areas 23, may be painted, e.g. white, blue or red, and the central area 25 may be painted to simulate an aluminium metal casting or chrome plated. Metallic fleck paints may be used.
