Abstract

1373497 Steering wheels A G STOTE 13 Jan 1972 [2 Feb 1971] 3703/71 Heading B7J A cast aluminium alloy steering wheel 10 comprises an inner ring 11 adapted for attachment to a boss and spokes 13, 14 and 15 which, when the wheel is mounted on the boss, extend upwardly from the ring and connect with an H-shaped, radial section, rim 16 concentric with the inner ring 11, the spokes each having a generally rhomboidal cross-section and increasing in width from the rim 16 to the inner ring 11. The rim 16 is covered with either a wooden rim or with a pair of correspondingly moulded rubber sections which are bound with leather and laced together.
