1436489 Bags S J SCHUSTER 19 June 1974 27236/74 Headings B8C and B8K [Also in Division A5] A sterilizable bag 10 of flexible (e.g. clear plastics) material which is impermeable to bacteria has an opening (30) defined by overlapping or abutting edges of the material which is sealed by a removable closure member 12 which is impermeable to bacteria but readily permeable to sterilizing vapour. The closure member also overlies an area of the outside surface of the bag which is adhesive such that, after its removal, the bag may be re-closed by bringing into contact two parts of the adhesive area, e.g. by folding over a portion of the bag (see Figs. 6 and 7, not shown). Indicia such as registration lines (46 and 48) may be printed on the bag to indicate the correct position of the fold.
