Abstract

1433838 Partitions PATLICO RIGHTS NV 19 Nov 1973 [20 Nov 1972] 53556/73 Heading E1W A partition comprises two face-to-face abutting layers 2, 3 of inter-engaged panels, arranged, e.g. in staggered relationship between the two layers, and inter-engaging in each layer via vertical edge mouldings (not shown as separate from panels), which mouldings may, e.g., be bent sheet metal edge strips or wooden elements; at least one layer having cavities therein to accommodate pipes, e.g., and the layers being secured together so that the partition acts as a single unit. The edge strips may be of tongue and groove configuration, and adjacent panels are interconnected also by bolts 12 and embedded nuts 13 (Fig. 4B). Extra edge strips 17 (Fig. 4A) and 19 (Fig. 4C) are fixed to building walls 14, 21 and locate the partition edges. The layer interconnecting bolts 23, 23', have enlarged ends, e.g. 23a, and pass through slotted strips 6 fixed to the inner face of one layer of panels. Guide pins 10, fixed to one layer, also pass through the strips 6 into slots. Filling strips 15, 25 are provided. The panels and filling strips have outer cladding sheets attached to them.
