Abstract

143,155. Hino, K. Feb. 19, 1919. Spring devices.-Relates to a shock-absorbing device for a cycle-car or other vehicle wheel. The wheel 4 is mounted in a frame 16 pivoted to the fork 5 at the point 18 rearward of the centre of the wheel. The shock movements of the wheel about the pivot 18 are counteracted by springs 27, 28 surrounding curved rods 24 passing through the crown 22 and terminating in abutments 25, 26 on the mud-guard carried by the frame 16. The position of the pivot 18 is adjustable along guides 19 carried by the frame 16. The above shock-absorbing device may be applied to the cycle-car described in Specification 139,289.
