Spring devices; buffers.-In a spring frame for cycles &c. wherein a rear-wheel frame is pivoted low down on the main frame and is connected to the upper part of the main frame by a rod H and spring S extending into the top tube A, the abutment L is adjustable by a sleeve K which screws into a collar j<3> carried by a sleeve J which is fixed in the tube A by a flanged nut j<2>. A recoil spring S<2> may be interposed between the collar j<3> and a collar L<2> on an extension H<1> of the rod H. The rod is fixed to a sleeve G which rotates on a pin g<2>, the pin being connected by two arms g<1> to a sleeve mounted on a pin b<6> of the rear wheel frame. As modified in Fig. 4, a spring S<3> is mounted in a tube A<1> fixed to the main frame and has an abutment L<3> fixed to the tube and an abutment L<4> which abuts against a nut h<4> on the rod H'. but is slidable in a sleeve K<1> screwed into the tube A<1>. Adjustable amounts of play l<3>, l<4> allow the spring to act in both directions. Two tubes A<1> may be mounted parallel to the top bar of the main cycle frame.
