Abstract
1427437 Purifying liquids SAINT-GOBAIN TECHNIQUES NOUVELLES 20 Nov 1973 [22 Nov 1972] 53728/73 Heading C1C An apparatus mounted in a flotation chamber, for purifying aqueous liquids containing suspended particles, comprises an inner wall defining a generally vertical, open-topped inner enclosure to be mounted in a chamber containing the purified aqueous liquid, a duet for feeding an aqueous liquid to be purified to the interior of the inner enclosure, a device for generating bubbles below the inner enclosure, and an outer wall defining an open-topped, closed-bottomed outer enclosure surrounding the inner enclosure, the upper edge of the outer wall being at a greater height than the upper edge of the inner wall, and the inner wall being provided with at least one perforation connecting the inner enclosure to the outer enclosure at a height between the inlet of said duct to the inner enclosure and the device for generating bubbles. The bubbles are preferably generated by electrolysis.
