Abstract
1425918 Hyaluronidases BIOREX LABORATORIES Ltd 22 Oct 1973 [7 Sept 1972] 41538/72 Heading C3H Glucuronoglycosaminoglycan hyaluronate lyase is obtained in very pure and highly active form by first contacting the crude lyase with a cross-linked polyacrylic divinyl-benzene resin containing carboxyl groups as active groups, eluting the adsorbed lyase from the resin, dialysing the eluate fractions rich in the lyase against a saturated solution of ammonium sulphate and further purifying the resulting enzyme concentrate by adsorption of the enzyme on, and elution from, a cross-linked dextran gel. A dextran gel containing active carboxymethyl groups is preferably employed, particularly in the final stage of purification.
