Abstract

1424330 Gates MERTENS-FRANCE SARL 7 Aug 1972 36835/72 Heading E1J A one-way gate comprises two leaves 3a, 3b disposed side by side and resiliently biassed into a closed position against stop means, each leaf carrying a vertical axis roller 6a, 6b at its free edge. The leaves are supported on pivots within hollow metal uprights 1a, 1b which also contain the resilient means, e.g. springs, and stop means. The stop means may be overridden by forcing the leaves in the wrong direction and an alarm then operates. The leaves comprise tubular frames with a smooth front plate 8, so that a trolley pushed through the gate slides against the plates 8 and rollers 6a, 6b.
