Abstract

1459115 Sliding windows YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 17 Sept 1974 40518/74 Heading E1J A window has two sashes 11 sliding horizontally in a main frame 10. Each of the top 15, bottom 16, and one vertical 17 frame members of the sash has an outwardly facing channel 18 in which is a roller 22 mounted on a vertical spindle 21. On closing the window, the rollers 22 contact wedge shaped flanges 24a, 24b attached to the main frame 10 causing the sash to move laterally bringing the flanges 18 into contact with the sealing strips 19. The two sashes may have interengaging flanges (Fig. 7 not shown) on the overlapping vertical members.
