Abstract
1419776 Photographic dye developer diffusion transfer process POLAROID CORP 22 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971] 59343/72 Heading G2C An exposed photo-sensitive element comprising a silver halide emulsion and dye developer is developed with a processing composition in the presence of a 6-alkylamino-purine of the Formula:- Where R is optionally substituted alkyl e.g. benzyl, p-chlorobenzyl or 3-methoxy-4-ethoxybenzyl Development may be effected at above 75F and is optionally effected in the presence of a silver halide solvent, a uracil and/or bis (#-aminoethyl)- sulphide. The dye developer in the unexposed areas may be transferred to an image-receiving layer. The 6-alkylaminopurine of the above Formula may be in the photo-sensitive element or the processing composition or the imagereceiving layer. The purine derivative maintains maximum dye density when processing is effected at elevated temperatures or in the absence of a development restrainer and does not de-sensitize the material.
