Abstract

1401044 Photographic process EASTMAN KODAK CO 14 June 1972 [14 June 1971] 27741/72 Heading G2C A photographic silver salt diffusion transfer process is characterized in that (i) a direct-positive silver halide emulsion layer is used, and (ii) the processing liquid comprises (on a solids basis) 2.3 to 30% of an organic development restrainer and 5-30 wt. per cent of Na + K ions in the ratio 92-73% Na ions to 8 to 27% K ions. In the Examples benzotriazole and its 5-bromo, chloro and methyl derivatives, 5-nitroindazole and 5-nitrobenzimidazole are used as development restrainer.
