Abstract

1418224 Sliders for slide-fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 5 Sept 1973 [5 Sept 1972] 41844/73 Heading E2S A slider 10 for a slide fastener comprises a top wing 11 and a bottom wing 12, an integral post 13 connecting the wings 11, 12 together at one end, a front lug, or bail, 14 projecting upwardly from the top wing, a pull tab 15 pivotally connected to the front lug 14, and a rear lug 19 upwardly projecting from the top wing 11, the pull tab 15 having means 18, 18 resiliently engageable with the rear lug 19 and an opening 17, 17b surrounding said means to permit the same to elastically flex whereby the pull tab is snapped into locked engagement with said top wing 11. The opening 17, 17a, 17b is of T- shape to provide a pair of resilient tongues 18, 18 which are formed integrally with the tab 15 and can flex sideways as they snap over the enlarged barrel-shaped head 19b of the lug 19, Fig. 4, to lock the tab in position. The pull tab 15 has a locking pin 16 adjacent its pivoted end and which is adapted to project downwardly through an opening in the top wing 11 and engage between the fastener elements, not shown, when the tab 15 is positioned behind the head 19b of the tongues 18, 18. In a modification, Figs. 5, 6 not shown, a substantially S-shaped opening (20) comprising a horizontally extending centre channel (20a) and a pair of spaced parallel upper and lower channels (20b, 20b) which provide a horizontally-extending pair of locking tongues (21, 21) for cooperating with a lug (22).
