Abstract

1415511 Multi-storey buildings M WESTON 31 Jan 1973 [8 Feb 1972] 5879/72 Heading E1A In a multi-storey building such as a hotel having a helical parking ramp from ground level to an intermediate storey which is surmounted by further stories, providing living accommodation, the building is of approximately octagonal configuration with alternate long and short sides disposed about a central well, the well being unobstructed for a sufficient distance from its open top to provide light and air to the habitable stories. The roof 6 may constitute a sun roof and has a paraquet wall, superstructures 7 housing lift winding gear being mounted on the roof and projecting into the well. The building is erected on a series of support columns 14 for the arrangement of which to-gether with details of service facilities provided, room lay-outs, stairways, exits and entrances &c the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
