Abstract

1408457 Stacking crates GEORG UTZ AG 21 Dec 1972 [3 Feb 1972] 59170/72 Heading B8P A crate of a thermoplastic resin has projections 12, 13 on its base so that one crate base can be locked on to the base of an inverted crate. Further, projections 11 on two diagonally opposite comers of the rim of the crate engage in recesses 10 at the other two diagonal corners to lock the rim of an inverted crate to a lower crate-see Fig. 3. The base also includes strips 14, 15 which engage similar strips on the adjacent base to provide an additional safeguard against displacement. In another embodiment (Fig. 5, not shown) the projections 11 and recesses 10 are replaced by complementary formations (17, 18) on the end walls.
