Abstract

1,158,278. Container closures. G. BAUMANN. 25 April, 1967, No. 18968/67. Heading B8T. A container 1 of resiliently deformable plastics or similar material has a closure formed with a cap 3 and a flange 4 extending into the container so that one or more ribs 5 on the flange co-operate respectively with one or more grooves 2 on the inside container surface (or vice versa, Fig. 5, not shown), both the rib and groove being of part-circular cross-section and the radius of curvature of the rib being greater than that of the groove. A spacer may be provided between the cap 3 and the container contents, Fig. 4 (not shown). Sprinkler openings Fig. 6 (not shown), may be provided in the cap.
