Abstract

1408203 Circuit assemblies BRITISHAMERICAN TOBACCO CO Ltd 4 Sept 1973 [19 Sept 1972] 43412/72 Heading H1R A printed circuit card 50 comprises groups of bus-bars 57, 58 running substantially the length of the card and disposed between the groups connector pads 60, 61, 62 and 63 which in pairs provide contacts for dual-in-line packages such as 69, 71, 72 mounted on the opposite side of the board, their terminals being lead through holes in the board and soldered to the pads, and end connectors 52 with contact surfaces 53. In each group bus-bars 57 are for power supply and busbars 58 for interconnection. The card may also have connector pads 64 for resistors, e.g. 70, and capacitors and a pad 65 for potentiometer 66 adjusted by screw 67. Transistor 68 is connected to connection points 59 on three bus-bars 58. For completing interconnection between circuit components or to the end connectors, only short lengths of wire shown in broken lines are required. Handle 54 at the edge remote from end connectors 52 has test-point sockets for soldering to test point connectors 56 on the card.
