Abstract

1,210,480. Two-part couplings. SIEMENS A.G. 29 May, 1969 [30 May, 1968], No. 27136/69. Heading H2E. Contact pins 7 having chamfered ends are mounted perpendicularly to a printed circuit board 5, carrying micromodules 6, on the opposite side thereof and are connected to the conductors thereof and the chamfered ends penetrate into through contact holes 11a in a wiring plate 11 in which springs 12 with mating chamfered edges, introduced from the back thereof, jam between the pins 7 and the conducting side walls of the holes which are electrically connected to conductors on the wiring plate. The chamfered ends of the pins 7 and springs 12 are preferably convex. The pins are soldered into through contact holes in a separate plate 8 which rigidly supports the printed circuit board 5 and the conductive rings around the holes are soldered or welded to corresponding conductors 5a on the printed circuit board. The springs are preferably slightly curved longitudinally and are anchored in a device 13 which has fingers to provide insulation between the springs and to provide a stop when the connector is screwed together inside the housing 9 by a screw (10) passing through the assembly.
