Abstract

1404389 Electrostatic precipitator METALLGESELLSCHAFT AG 12 July 1973 [13 July 1972] 33370/73 Heading B2J An electrostatic precipitator has collecting electrodes each constituted by a plurality of individual inter-engaged strips 1 suspended from a common carrier (2) Fig 1 (not shown) and secured at their lower ends to a rapping linkage (5), the free edges of the outermost strips 1' being embraced by hooked backing members 6 secured to a cross beam 7 whereby the electrode assembly is strengthened against twisting and distortion forces caused by local overheating.
