Abstract

1401035 Checking dimensions M POSSATI [trading as APPARECCHI ELETTRONICI MARPOSS] 25 July 1972 [30 July 1971] 34657/72 Headings G1M and G1N A device for checking the diameter of bearing rings 14 as they leave a centerless grinding machine comprises a base-plate 12 mounted on the machine, guide rails 13 for supporting and guiding the rings, and a measuring member 22. One of the guide rails 13 is mounted on slides 16 so that the device may be adjusted according to the size of the rings 14. The member 22 comprises a feeler 26 and an extension 47 screwed on to the ends of a shaft 28, circular springs 31, 46 being clamped to the assembly of shaft 28, feeler 26 and extension 47 at the joins to guide the assembly. A spring 36 biases the assembly towards the rings 14, and a dashpot 42, 43 damps the movement of the assembly. The movement of the assembly is measured by an inductive transducer 65.
