Abstract

1397774 Sliding windows CRITTALL-HOPE Ltd 7 Aug 1973 [7 Aug 1972] 36722/72 Heading E1J A window comprises sliding wings each with upwardly and downwardly projecting locating means 22, a channel section main frame containing guide blocks 32, 34, 36 behind which the means 22 are engaged when the window is closed. The window is opened by release of lock (38), movement of wing C towards jamb 8, forward movement of the edge remote from jamb 8 and then sliding by the wing in front of wing B. Wing B is then movable toward jamb 8. Wings C and A have guides (42) engaging wing B when .the window is closed, and handles (46). Flange 27 is detachable for removal of the wings.
